Full Professor in Landscape Ecology
A permanent contract based on the § 98 University Law 2002 will be offered. The extent of employment is 100%. Tasks Representation of the subject “Landscape Ecology” in research and teaching. Close cooperation with research groups at the Department of Ecology and participation in the cross-faculty research focus “Mountain Regions” are expected. In teaching, the subject of “Landscape Ecology” will be covered in the curriculum of the Faculty of Biology. In addition, participation in the inter-university MA program “Environmental Management of Mountain Areas” is required. Active participation in academic self-governance. Employment requirements- A university degree appropriate to the position;
- Relevant teaching qualification (habilitation) or equivalent achievement;
- Publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals;
- Proven expertise in biology, in particular ecology, and methods of landscape ecology;
- Integration in the international scientific community;
- Experience in the acquisition and management of research funding;
- Teaching skills and experience in independent teaching;
- Experience in interdisciplinary work is desirable;
- Relevant experience abroad is desirable;
- Management experience is desirable;
