Full Professorship (W3) in Sustainable Materials Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Sciences, subject to the approval of the University Council, seeks to fill this position by April 1, 2026.
The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up program, the Excellence Strategy.
The research focus of the professorship will be on an innovative area of Sustainable Materials including their synthesis and characterization as well as the study of their materials properties, ideally complementing both current and future research activities at the Department of Chemistry. The position holder is expected to collaborate also across Departments in the Natural Sciences. We are seeking an individual who can represent the full range of Materials and Inorganic Chemistry across all degree programs of the Department of Chemistry. These include the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Chemistry, Nanoscience, and Life Science.
Further requirements for appointments to professorships are based on 搂 47 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Landeshochschulgesetz.
