The International Research Training Group (IRTG) jointly conducted by the University of Cologne, Germany, and Sungkyunkwan University, Korea, is seeking highly motivated PhD candidates for a unique and exciting opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in molecular biomedicine and translational oncology, with a special focus on lung cancer.
Program Overview:
The IRTG program, titled "Tumor Heterogeneity and Genomic Instability in Lung Cancer - From Basic Mechanisms to Clinical Implications," aims to address the critical challenges in lung cancer research by exploring mechanisms of resistance and genomic instability. Our program offers a collaborative research environment bridging expertise from two leading medical institutions.Key Research Areas:
- Genomic instability driven by p53 deficiency
- Metabolic shifts and stress-induced genomic instability
- Heterogeneity in KRAS-driven tumors
