(Base Salary: W 2)
Your tasks as a professor (50 %)
- Representing teaching (in both German and English) in the fields of Digital Transformation and Business Information Systems Management within the study programs of the Department of Economics.
- Developing a research profile as well as conducting national and international research activities, including publications.
- Building networks with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.).
- Participating in academic self-governance.
- Developing and implementing an IT strategy with a long-term IT roadmap, IT target operating model, and target architecture to support organizational goals.
- Promoting digital transformation through skills and methodologies.
- Coordinating cross-departmental IT requirements across the university.
- Advising the university鈥檚 executive board.
- Representing the university in national IT committees.
- Professional expertise in the teaching areas of Digital Transformation and Business Information Systems Management.
- Several years of relevant professional experience.
- Leadership experience in the IT field.
- Passion for working with young people and supporting their development.
- Openness to developing and implementing innovative teaching concepts.
- Willingness to adopt new teaching content as part of the long-term, strategic, and potentially interdisciplinary development of the study program offerings.
- Strong social skills in interactions with students, colleagues, and staff.
- Proficiency in German (at least C1 level) and good English skills.
The hiring requirements for professorships result from 搂 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
