in the following subject area:
„Quantitative methods of empirical social research and data literacy”

The professorship will represent the field of quantitative-empirical social research in theory, teaching and research and teach quantitative research methods including statistics in various teaching formats in the department's Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. This explicitly includes the increasingly important area of data literacy. The department expects commitment to the perpetuation of concepts of research-based learning and data literacy education in all degree programs. We require knowledge and experience of application-oriented research processes with a clear connection to social work issues. Experience with mixed-methods approaches in this field of research is an advantage.
Active participation in the research institutes, in particular at the Competence Center for Social Intervention Research (KomSI) of the Department of Social Work and Health and the acquisition and implementation of own third-party funded projects are desired. The fulfillment of the admission requirements at the Hessian Doctoral Center for Social Work and the supervision of doctoral projects are desirable.
We require a degree in social sciences and a relevant doctorate, preferably in social work, sociology, educational science or similar.

The position is available for an unlimited period of time. When first appointed to a professorship, employment is initially on a probationary civil service basis or on a permanent employment basis with a three-year probationary period.
