We are looking for a scientifically highly qualified person conducts teaching and research in sustainability management.

The research must cover at least two of the following topics:
  • Sustainable organization,
  • Sustainable strategies and business models,
  • Management of the circular economy,
  • Sustainability reporting,
  • Sustainable value management,
  • Management of sustainable transformation,
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
A focus on the area of the research and teaching focus “Sustainability, Energy and Environment”, connection to other research topics of the department and the University of Kassel as well as an empirical orientation of the research work is desired.

The post holder has a proven publication record in international peer-reviewed journals and relevant teaching experience in the field of ABWL and in particular environmental and sustainability management. Experience in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects will be expected. Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations is an advantage.

In teaching (partly to be delivered in English), the future holder of the position must represent the subject area in the department's Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and regularly give basic lectures (in particular Strategy and Operational Processes). The responsibilities of the professorship include collaboration in the Master's degree programme in Sustainable Management, in teaching as well as in self-administration.

The willingness to cooperate with other disciplines represented in the Faculty (economics, law, business education) as well as beyond the Faculty is expected, so that, for example, connectivity with work at the Kassel Institute for Sustainability is guaranteed. Participation in academic self-administration is part of the duties. The position is open-ended.
