Pay category E 13 TV-L (80 %, 32 h/week)

Area of Responsibility
  • pursuing a research project within the IGS research framework
  • active participation in the interdisciplinary research programme, in conferences and publications
  • support in preparing the final presentation of the results of the research project (third mission, public dissemination)
  • liadministrative duties related to the project
  • preparing and teaching courses (2 LVS) in the subject area
In addition to your own research, you will collaborate closely with the other members of the IGS both in Erfurt and in Graz.

  • excellent academic degree (Master or equivalent) and excellent dissertation in one of the above-named disciplines
  • organizational skills and intercultural competencies
  • excellent knowledge of the languages relevant to the proposed project
  • conversation management skills and experience in science communication
  • willingness to cooperate with colleagues with the interdisciplinary research environment of the Max-Weber-Kolleg, in particular the IGS, and the University of Graz

Comments/Remarks
The position is tied to third-party funding and ends 30 September 2026 with the conclusion of the project. As an International Research Group, the programme’s primary language is English. The Call for Applications is addressed to applicants who fulfill the requirements of the German Act on Temporary Scientific Contracts (Wissenschaftszeitver­tragsgesetz). The general requirements for employment according to § 91 section 5 Thuringian Higher Education Act (Thüringer Hochschulgesetz) apply.
