Research Associate (m/f/d)
(salary group 13 TV枚D [Collective agreement for the public service]; 29,25 hours per week)

for a limited period of 2 years.

Responsibilities:

• Research and publication activities in the field of psychological methods and statistics within the core areas of our research group (), for example causal inference, individual diagnostics, multi-level and longitudinal modeling, machine learning and Bayesian statistics
• Academic service activities such as methodological and statistical consulting
• Assistance in teaching to the extent of basically 2,0 trimester hours per week
• Possibility of further academic qualification (e.g. doctorate or habilitation)
• Carrying out general administrative work as well as academic activities in academic self-administration

Qualification requirements:

• A completed university degree [Diplom (univ.) or Master] in psychology, statistics or a related discipline completed with very good results

Furthermore desired:

• Knowledge of foreign language in German with a proficiency level that corresponds at least to the language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
• Scientific and academic achievements appropriate to the candidate鈥檚 career level
• Excellent knowledge of psychological methods and statistics
• Knowledge of statistical software, especially R
• Proactivity, reliability, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
• Independent and structured way of working, creative problem-solving skills
• Strong mathematical and statistical-analytical skills

The employment is based on the TV枚D in conjunction with the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz [German Act on Fixed-Term Scientific Contracts]. In principle, the activities correspond to pay group 13 (E13). Classification up to pay group 13 of the TV枚D shall be made in accordance with 搂 12 of the TV枚D with regard to the activities to be performed on a more than temporary basis and the fulfilment of the personal or collective agreement requirements (job characteristics).
