The focus is on specific applications such as microbial com颅munities, polyketide synthesis, mass spectrometry, and the design and analysis of metabolic networks. The aim is to better understand and optimize these systems using formal methods, efficient algorithms and computer-aided approaches to better understand and optimize these systems. In the process, we cooperate closely with scientists from experimental working groups in order to link data and computer-aided models and gain practical insights. The working group develops new tools and approaches to investigate such issues and applying them in an interdisciplinary manner. It is strongly net颅worked internationally and is actively involved in several third-party-funded projects, playing both leading and supporting roles.
