to be fulfilled at the Campus Duisburg, Faculty of Engineering, Chair of Electronic Materials and Nanostructures.
Starting date: as soon as possible
Contract duration: 3 years, extension is possible
Working hours: 100% of a full-time contract (part-time employment is possible)

Your tasks
In an joint international project funded by the German Research Foundation, novel electronic devices based on magnetic van der Waals heterostructures are to be realized and investigated. The aim is to develop strategies for potential applications in information technology and quantum technology. A clean room for component processing and a variety of modern analysis methods are available.The position offers the opportunity for further scientific qualification with the possibility of a doctorate.
Your profile
- completed university degree in physics, nanoengineering, or electrical engineering and information technology of at least 8 semesters.
- experience in optical spectroscopy, 2-dimensional van der Waals materials, magnetism, and/or electronic devices
- independence, sense of responsibility and strong interest in research
